Selections de Livre D’ivon

French, by Gaspar du Nord. 13th Century. Octavo. Handwritten manuscript, bound in decaying blue calfskin. Copiously and grotesquely illuminated with leering faces and obscene marginalia; there is a recurring, curious sigil that resembles a triskelion. Has clearly suffered at the hands of negligence and the elements in the past. Has a rich and earthy smell with a faint undertone of sweet rot, which is not at all unpleasant.
